Change Wireless Channel on a FieldLab

FieldLab software and devices are set by default to channel 26, which is the channel farthest away from most common Wi-Fi networks. That being said, electromagnetic interference can come from a wide array of devices, and changing the channel may help avoid them and improve your range and signal strength.

Before you can make a wireless connection.

Before you can connect your FieldLab to FieldLab Desktop:

1. A Wireless Module must be installed on your FieldLab. Wireless Modules (P/N DGAU-0046) are available at www.ralstoninst.com/products/dgau-0046.
2. Install FieldLab Desktop on your computer. See Install FieldLab Desktop on your computer for more information.
3. You must Add your FieldLab to FieldLab Desktop. See Add Your FieldLab to FieldLab Desktop for more information.

Enable the Menu by pressing the Menu Button

Select the Wireless menu item

Select Set Wireless Channel

Change the channel to any channel from 11 through 26.

Press the Zoom Button to Set the Channel.

Press the Menu Button to exit out.

Change Wireless Channel in FieldLab Desktop

In Fieldlab Desktop, go to FieldLab Desktop > Preferences

Select the same Wireless Channel you selected on FieldLab Pressure.

Save Changes
