Export and Share Data Sets from FieldLab Desktop

1. View all saved data set files by selecting "Data Sets" in the main navigation of FieldLab Desktop.



2. Select the data set you wish to export.

You can use the pull-down menus to filter and sort data sets by:
  1. Test type (Calibration, Data Logging, PSV/PRV, Hydrostatic).
  2. Date ascending/descending.
NOTE: Use Shift-Select to select multiple Data Sets.




3. Select "Export."


4. Use the pull-down menu to select the file type for your data set export: PDF or CSV.
  1. PDF: Data sets exported to PDF are nicely formatted and include a chart for each gauge used in the test. Suitable for an executive overview and inclusion in a test report. 
  2. CSV: Export to CSV format to get structured, tabular data for importing into other databases.


4a. Optional: Customize the export to your preferences.

Select "Show Advanced Settings" to:
  1. Select which fields to include in the export. All fields are included by default.
  2. For PDF exports, select whether to include the data chart and data point rows. Both are included by default.
  3. Choose whether to automatically open the data set file after it is exported.


5. Select the Export button.
