Update Field Gauge LC20 Firmware
Ralston Instruments will periodically release updated firmware containing improvements and new features. This article will demonstrate the steps you can take to keep your firmware up to date.
What you will need:
- A PC running Windows.
- FieldLab Desktop software version 1.24 or later installed on your PC. Download the latest version for free.
- A Ralston Instruments Field Gauge
- USB Cord, provided with your Field Gauge.
1. Download and install the latest version of FieldLab Desktop.
Requires FieldLab Desktop software version 1.24 or later installed on your PC. You can update from within the app if it is already installed on your PC, or Download the latest version for free.
2. Open the FieldLab Desktop app on your PC.
3. Connect the Field Gauge to your PC with the provided USB Cable.
4. Power on the Field Gauge.
5. On the Devices screen in FieldLab Desktop, select your Field Gauge.
Select your device to access its settings 6. Confirm that a new firmware update is available.

You can create a new account from this screen if you don’t have one already.

Select Update and follow on-screen instructions in FieldLab Desktop app on your PC.
