Update Gauge Firmware
Ralston Instruments will periodically release updated firmware containing improvements and new features. This article will demonstrate the steps you can take to keep your firmware up to date.
What you will need:
- A PC running Windows.
- FieldLab Desktop software version 1.24 or later is installed on your PC. Download the latest version for free.
- A Ralston Instruments Field Gauge LC10, LC20, or Process Meter LC30.
- USB Cord, provided with your Field Gauge.
1. Download and install the latest version of FieldLab Desktop.
Requires FieldLab Desktop software version 1.24 or later installed on your PC. You can update from within the app if it is already installed on your PC, or download the latest version for free.
2. Open the FieldLab Desktop app on your PC.
3. Connect the gauge to your PC with the provided USB Cable.
4. Power on the gauge.
5. On the Devices screen in FieldLab Desktop, select your gauge.
6. Confirm that a new firmware update is available.
7. Sign in to your FieldLab Account.
You can create a new account from this screen if you don’t have one already.
8. Register your gauge if you haven't already.
10. In the "Firmware Update Available" module, select the "Update" button and follow the on-screen instructions in FieldLab Desktop.
