Update to the latest version of FieldLab Desktop from within the app if you already have it installed on your PC. If you don't have it installed, you can download it here.

What you will need

A PC running Windows 10 or 11, connected to the Internet.

Note that as of October 14, 2025, Microsoft no longer offers support for Windows 10.

Instructions

1. Go to the menu bar at the top of the window in FieldLab Desktop.

2. Select "FieldLab Desktop" to open the drop-down menu, and then select "Check for Updates." 

3. If an update is available, a software update modal will appear. Select "Update".

4. Select "I Agree" to the end-user license agreement, and follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Once the installation process is complete, you should see an icon on the Windows desktop for the FieldLab Desktop app. Double-click it to open the app and get started.

6. Install USB device drivers (optional/as-needed)

Some versions of Windows 10 don't include the necessary USB drivers to recognize newer USB devices. The FieldLab Desktop app has a quick and easy installer. Instructions here: Install USB drivers
