Update custom unit edits on your Field Gauge and Process Meter

Update custom unit edits on your Field Gauge and Process Meter

Info
Applies to FieldLab Desktop app versions 2.0 and later

When you edit and save an existing custom unit, it will need to be manually updated on any Field Gauge or Process Meter that had the custom unit installed prior to the edit.

Note: FieldLabs handle custom unit updates differently. See: Update custom units on your FieldLab [DRAFT NOTE: Cannot link to drafts in Zoho. Link will be added once the article is published]

To update

1. Power on the gauge and connect it to the FieldLab Desktop app with a USB cable or Bluetooth (for gauges with Bluetooth radios).

 2. Select the Manage button on the connected gauge card.

3. Select the Settings tab.

4. In the Pressure Units module, select Change.

5. Open the Custom Pressure Unit pull-down menu for the slot that holds the edited unit (Custom Pressure Unit 1 or Custom Pressure Unit 2) and re-select the unit you edited. If you renamed the custom unit, re-selecting it here is what applies the new name to the gauge. If you only changed the unit's configuration (slope or curve fit values), saving in the next step re-pushes the updated definition.

6. Select the Save Changes button on the Change Pressure Engineering Units screen.
